Bali, an island with thousand of temple. That statement is really true. Wherever you go you will easily find temple. In each Hindu family in Bali they have their own temple. Each village also have their own temple, they call it as "Tri Kahyangan".
Pura Uluwatu situated in Desa Pecatu, - Kuta., about an hour drive from Kuta. This temple usually known as “Pura Luhur Uluwatu” : "Luhur" means "glorious, honorable” while "Uluwatu" can be broken into "ulu" which means "head" and "watu" means "rock".
Pura Uluwatu is the most spectacular temple on the island of Bali besides of Tanah Lot temple.
Pura Uluwatu is regarded as one of the six most important temples in Bali (along with Pura Besakih). Its location on the south westernmost precinct of this magical island guards the Balinese from the evil spirit of the ocean.
